It smells exactly as described and fills the room with its powerful, calming, and “masculine” scent. (I’m a woman and love it.) Think of an old library with floor-to-ceiling bookshelves and worn leather armchairs but fresh and perky, without the secondhand smoke. I love all of the Tallgrass candles but this one is probably my favorite, especially for chilly nights.
Have it in both candle and soap and they both smell true to each other. All the scents we’ve tried are gender neutral and reminiscent of Oklahoma landscapes - enjoyable to everyone who’s smelled them that we’ve shared. Strength and staying power on the skin or in the room is exactly the right level. This one is favorite.
Truly. Every scent is deep and nostalgic without overpowering the room. This one, though, is my go-to. Its warmth has quickly become my home’s signature scent.
Great scent - fills the room
Old school fills the room
Bringing the feeling of past hay rides, dads aftershave, and road trips to the farm
This candle smells like... a Route 66 truck stop that sells leather goods and, oddly regionally non-specific, Native American jewelry of questionable origin in the gift shop. As a born and partly raised Okie having lived most of my life elsewhere, this candle makes me nostalgic for things I didn't know I remembered. It makes me proud to be part Plainsman and grateful to God for my country and sense of smell. Thanks Tallgrass- keep on truckin'. I know I will.
