Sundown in Cowtown
Sundown in Cowtown was an event created with the intentions of providing the Oklahoma community with a unique western experience. Combining visual art, live country music, authentic Oklahoma BBQ, and ice cold beer resulted in the embodiment of what it means to be from this beauty of a red dirt state.
What made this event unlike any other was the line-up of artists and vendors that came out. Each artist displayed their own unique style through visual art or performances that simultaneously went hand in hand with the overall theme of the event.
With this, it was only right to offer a meal fit for a night in the famous Oklahoma City Stockyards. Between Wild Bill's and Black Mesa Brewing, no one left disappointed. The ice cold beer from an Oklahoma brewery paired perfectly with traditional Oklahoma barbecue.
We were able to listen to a great mixture of bluegrass from Steelwind, cowboy poetry from Russell Shaw, and amazing Nashville tunes from Mallory Eagle. And while listening, there was plenty to take in from the amazing art on display from Jared Phelps, JT Darling, and Eric Granado.
We're so stoked for this event as we gear up for an exciting holiday season ahead! Despite the rollercoaster of a year, it was a relief to offer an outdoor, open air, and safe event to feel a little normal again and have an awesome time.
